Vision, values, goals

Moments that matterOur vision is that everyone will return home safely at the end of a day's work.

Our goal is to achieve the lowest rate of work-related fatalities, injuries and diseases out of all the states and territories in Australia.

We have adopted the national targets to reduce by 2022 the incidence of:

  • workplace fatalities due to injury by 20 per cent or more
  • serious workplace injuries by 30 per cent or more
  • serious musculoskeletal workplace injuries by 30 per cent or more.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) adheres to the Queensland public sector values of:

  • empower people.
