The Electrical Equipment Committee provides advice and makes recommendations to the Electrical Safety Board about the safety of electrical equipment, energy efficiency and the performance of electrical equipment. The Committee provides an essential link between industry, the community and government in working to improve electrical safety.
Commissioner for Electrical Safety
Greg was the National Manager for Lend Lease Services Power Infrastructure, and has extensive managerial experience in the electrical industry. He has also worked in project management, business management systems, strategic planning and risk management across a broad range of industries, including power stations, mining and minerals, water, utilities, oil and gas, and the commercial building sector. In addition, Greg has completed an Electrical Mechanic apprenticeship.
Michelle is the Manager of Technology Development at Ergon Energy. She has worked in the electrical industry in varied energy sector roles within public utilities, private consultancies and universities. She has experience in renewable energy and energy storage technologies, including distributed energy technologies and its associated issues. Michelle has a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical).
Gordon is the Executive Manager of the Investigation and Compliance Section of Queensland Fire and Emergency Service. He has experience in managing and conducting fire investigations, a Graduate Diploma of Fire Investigation, a Diploma of Fire Scene Examination, and Graduate Certificates in Applied Management and Fire Investigation.
Nicola has experience in renewable energy and energy efficiency with a focus on solar and battery storage. She has worked in a variety of organisations including consulting, electricity networks and construction. Nicola holds a Master of Science in Renewable Energy and a Bachelor of Engineering.
Scott is the Coordinator for Apprentices and Training for the Electrical Trades Union Queensland and Northern Territory. He is also an Organiser for the Communications, Electrical and Plumbing Union – Electrical Division Queensland.
Marta-Jean is the Manager of Quality and Compliance for Evolt PTY Ltd. She has a background in Criminal and Corporate Law and Regulatory Compliance. Marta-Jean has experience within the electrical industry in varied lighting sector roles, collaborating with laboratories, governing bodies, industry stakeholders and the working groups and committees of Standards Australia and the Lighting Council Australia, of which she is a member.
Rod is the Regional General Manager of Gerard Lighting Group and has extensive experience building stakeholder relationships in the electrical industry. Rod has held executive positions managing sales and branding in the industry. He has a Bachelor of Business and post graduate qualifications in leadership.
Regina is an independent business consultant and global key account manager in the Electrical Supply Industry. Regina specialises in low and medium voltage switchgear motor control, and renewable solutions for IEC Standards. Regina is a Senior member of IEEE and an active member of the German Association of Electrical Engineers and the German Association for Quality Management. Regina holds a Master of Engineering.
