Musculoskeletal Disorders Symposium 2020
Cancellation of Musculoskeletal Disorders Symposium, 24-25 March 2020
We have received a significant number of enquiries about whether the MSD Symposium will proceed as planned due to the rapidly developing situation with COVID-19 in Australia. Some participants have withdrawn from the forum due to these concerns.
The Office of Industrial Relations’ priority is to protect the health and safety of its staff and stakeholders. While there is currently no official advice from Australian health authorities to cancel events of this size, the situation may change over the weekend.
With this in mind, and to prevent any potential risk to staff and participants, we have decided to cancel the Symposium. We apologise for any associated inconvenience.
You will be refunded in full via the method of payment you used. You don’t need to do anything to action the refund and you should receive your refund in the next two to three weeks.
Thank you for your support of this event. We are considering alternative options for the symposium and will be in contact in the coming months.
If you have any concerns please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The 2020 national symposium will feature international and national experts, interactive workshops, industry case studies and specialised streams as well as a trade expo and networking dinner.
The symposium focus is Safety by design. Design out hazards, incorporate effective risk controls and design in efficiencies at the outset to protect workers from harm, improve their health and wellbeing and increase productivity.
